"The Unbearable Lightness of Being - A Fire Goddess"
was featured in Doll Crafter October
2005 issue. The picture featured in an article on the CDAA
conference in May.

I'm very excited to announce that an article on "The
Fire Goddess" has appeared in Dolls
United magazine! You will have the opportunity
to see my work in person at the West
End Studio Tour in Ottawa in September! Mark
your calendar for September 10-11 and 17-18.

Jolly Jester is
my latest figure! He's a 20" cloth doll, with
ball joints, free motion yoke on his body and ribbon
trim.He's always ready to make sure you are having
fun!
I will be teaching
this as a class at the Canadian Doll Artist Conference
in April 2006. |

I'm fresh back from the annual conference of
the Canadian Doll Artist Association in Fort Erie,
Ontario. What a great time we had! I took classes with Jean
Bernard and Kathryn Walmsley. You can see my class pictures
below. I also did very well in the competition.

My figure, "The
Unbearable Lightness of Being.. A Fire Goddess"
won Third Place in the cloth fantasy category at the
Canadian Doll Artist Association competition in May
2005.
This figure also appeared
at the International Quilt Show in Texas in October
2004.

I had never sculpted
before and challenged myself this year, with the "Full
body sculpt" class, taught by Kathryn Walmsley.
I learned so much and was very pleased with my Cernit
figure. |

Jean Bernard introduced
us to Aves Apoxie Sculpt. This amazing material is very
strong and can be painted and detailed while still wet!
I shall be doing more with this product! |
